Sermon Luke 19, "Jesus Weeps Over Jerusalem" (click here)

"When [Jesus] approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it" (Luke 19:41). This is part of Luke's account of Jesus triumphant entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. It would be easy to read about Jesus weeping and simply pass over it. Yet, His tears preach.

"Lutheran Satire" video on Baptism (Click here)

This video is a hoot! It shows how ridiculous the position really is that denies Baptism as a Sacrament. Those who say, "God doesn't do anything in Baptism. It's just my commitment to Christ," really have to reinterpret the Scripture to fit their false theology.

This is an important topic because Baptism is Gospel. Thus it isn't a secondary doctrine that many Protestants make it out to be. Baptism is a good gift of God in which the Spirit places us into the body of Christ (I Cor 12:13).

Sermon (click here): Grace, It's Not Just for Babies! (This is the whole sermon)

My daughter, Katerina, wanted me to name this sermon, "It's not Your Mama's Breast Milk." She is an imaginative child. The point of the sermon is the tendency among Protestants to see the grace of God in Christ as milk for the immature. Have you ever noticed how many Protestants reserve the preaching of grace for the lost? In some churches Christ as Savior is preached for an altar call, but otherwise grace is missing in the sermon.

My son, Jonathan, has noticed that in some sermons there is neither a true preaching of Law nor Gospel. He calls these, "Christian life style wellness sermons."

I appreciate the insights that I received from Jonathan Fisk. He has an off-beat podcast called "worldview everlasting." Check it out on You Tube or go to www.worldvieweverlasting.com.

Sermon (click here): Grace, It's Not Just for Babies! prt 2

Go to the post above - That post didn't split the sermon. I thought the file was too big to put on one file on box.net, but I was wrong.

Sermon (click here): Grace, It's Not Just for Babies! prt 1

Go to the 2nd post above --- that post has the whole sermon not just part one as here. I found out the file wasn't too big that it had to be split.
